The Land
Spanning 2,132 square kilometres at an altitude ranging from 700 to 2,100 metres above sea level, Wayanad enjoys a pleasantly cool climate throughout the year — making it an ideal escape from the heat and noise of city life. Mist rolls in every morning across the hills, the air carries the scent of spices, and the evenings are cool and peaceful. The Kabani River, one of the most pristine rivers in South India, flows gracefully through the heart of Wayanad, nourishing its forests and farmlands. The region is further adorned by iconic water bodies — the Banasura Sagar Dam, one of the largest earth dams in India, and the serene Karapuzha Dam — both offering breathtaking landscapes that linger in memory long after you leave.
